The Sanctuary of Tantra was created through my vision and passion to help people create harmony, peace and love within themselves, their relationships and with all of life and to awaken to a deeper understanding of the healing power and magnificence of our tantric sexual energy.

My name is Catherine Wood and I am a practicing Tantrika (Tantra Goddess) in Kaula Tantra and a dedicated Whitetigress.

I have studied and worked extensively in the holistic field and completed a Reiki Masters Degree in 2000 with The International House of Reiki in Sydney. As well as teaching Reiki for many years in my own private practice, I also worked as a voluntary Reiki Practitioner with ‘Balya’ Cancer Self Help and Wellness Centre . I then went on to complete a Diploma in Reflexology and Counselling and studied many alternative healing therapies including Raja Yoga Meditation with the Brahma Kumaris, Shamanic Healing and Pranic Healing.

I was first introduced to Tantra in 1988 and studied under Dr Chowdhury who later became my spiritual mentor. His knowledge of sacred tantric teachings and wisdom opened an incredible journey for me to seek further understanding of this divine essence of a sacred ancient art called Tantra.
